About Us

Trotter Overhead Door Garage + Home of Edmond and the Oklahoma City area is a full-service garage door company locally owned and operated by Jesse and Tina Trotter. It all began in 1983 when they recognized Edmond was growing by leaps and bounds and there was not a thriving garage door company. Jesse had worked within the garage door business for many years and became very knowledgeable about their function, installation, and repair. At the time, Jesse and Tina had been married for five years, had a two-year-old son, Jacob, and a baby on the way, so they decided to begin their own business venture. They rented a 400 sq. ft. space at Bryant Square and while Tina answered the phones and entertained their toddler, Jesse tirelessly installed and repaired garage doors and openers. After 30+ years, 4 married grown children (Jake, Jessica, Nathan and Brittany), 6 grandchildren and more expected, the Trotters decided to invest in a new and permanent home for their business.

Through the vision and hard work of their son, Nathan, they built a beautiful 15,000 sq. ft. showroom/office/warehouse complex and added “Garage + Home” to their business name to accommodate other home lifestyle enhancement products. Their focus of running an upright, unrivaled customer-centered service business has remained consistent since its inception and they have been blessed with success as a result. They have an exceptional, well-managed, experienced team that meshes well with their superior standards, positive culture, and core values. Trotter is a distinct and dynamic leader in the garage door industry that sets standards of excellence for all.

We are a team of hard-working individuals with an intense desire to help our customers recognize that their garage doors should beautify their homes as well as be functional. We realize garage door problems can be extremely frustrating, inconvenient and cumbersome- such as broken springs, damaged doors or malfunctioning openers. Therefore, we listen well to our customers’ issues and concerns, evaluate and assess their problems and then provide the best value solution with prompt, steadfast and unsurpassed expertise. We are committed to providing an excellent experience for our customers hoping they share their delight with others.
